Quadruple A Literary Event is on & poppin”!

Hey Aceoholics,

Well, the last couple of weeks have been a tad hectic for me. 1st, The Artistry notified me they were going out of business before May which meant I had to find a new venue & hotel quick! They were kind enough to suggest an alternative and it’s BEAUTIFUL! Then I found a nearby hotel & all I can say is it’s posh! (Don’t get to use that word often!)  LOL

May 30th, 2009 has turned into a full-day literary experience, starting with Nia Promotions’ “Books, Beauty and Banter” Breakfast from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Wyndham Garden Hotel, 175 Piedmont Ave. NE, Atlanta 30306. This will be a buffet with the participating authors.

Breakfast Admission: $25 before Mar. 31st/$40 after Mar. 31st. Breakfast includes a marketing and promotion brainstorming session with Dana Pittman, CEO of Nia Promotions. Readers who attend Breakfast will get FREE admission to The Uptown Restaurant & Lounge. http://www.uptownrestaurantandlounge.com/ *Readers, please note: This does NOT include a free book, but by attending the breakfast, you’ll get to spend the entire day with 30 authors for only $35.00 inc. shuttle fare!!

Next, we’ll take the hotel shuttle ($5.00 R/T) to the Peachtree Branch Library, 1315 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta 30309 from 12:30-2 p.m. for readings by participating authors.

Final stop: The ‘Quadruple A’ (African American Authors in Atlanta) Literary Event from 3-7 p.m. at The Uptown Restaurant & Lounge, 201 Courtland St., Atlanta 30303. Authors & readers will get to meet and mingle (and buy or sell, of course.) There will be light hors’dourves and a cash bar. All three venues are within a 5 mile radius! Please come enjoy the day with us.

The Uptown Restaurant & Lounge – General Admission: $25 before Mar. 31st /$40 after Mar. 31st.

So authors, if you want to spend the entire day, it’s $60.00 inc. shuttle. ***Limited to 30 author spots, 1st Come, 1st Serve***

Authors: Uptown Admission includes ½ table for 2 hour book promotion & sales (3-5 or 5-7 p.m.) AND an interview on BlogTalk Radio’s “A Date with Destiny.” Authors are asked to donate 4 books total for our readers. Please send me an email indicating that you are an author and the titles of the books you will be donating after purchasing your ticket. Readers: Uptown Admission includes one (1) personally autographed book from the attending author of your choice. Authors are donating book giveaway, but if one runs out, please have a second choice.

Vendors: Uptown Admission: $50 before Mar. 31st/$75 after Mar. 31st (Marketing materials will be distributed/displayed at breakfast.) Admission includes 1/2 promo table for the entire 4 hr. event.
